The root cause of problems with online dating today is the heavily skewed gender ratio. This skewed gender ratio makes guys desperate. The dating apps then fuel this desperation to drive business, and as a result, neither girls nor guys end up happy.
The Solution.
The solution is simple, incentivise girls to join online dating platforms. However, as it seems, the online dating giants haven't made much progress on this front. It would appear that leaving things unchanged is what's best for business. Think about it; their premium subscriptions sell because guys feel the need to stand out and be noticed. That wouldn't really be the case with a balanced ratio.
